Who we are
About
ShreeSangh is the public name of a system built for one Sangh's desk during Paryushan, and now offered to others.
Why it was built
In 2024 the desk at Shree Shahibag Chandanwadi Jain Sangh ran on three registers, an Excel sheet and a WhatsApp group. Finding a family's total across eight khatas took a quarter of an hour. At the end of every evening someone counted the cash and hoped it matched.
The system was built for that desk, using that desk's own words. It records a Supan ni boli in mun because that is how the bid is called. It prints a statement in three languages because that is who reads it. It settles a volunteer's wallet because that is where the cash actually is.
It has run every event since. This site exists because trustees of other Sanghs asked whether they could use it too.
Who builds it
A small team in Ahmedabad that has sat at the desk. We build it together with the trustees who use it, in Gujarati first.
