The year of a Sangh

Six chapters, one ledger.

The site groups what the app does the way a trustee thinks about a year — not the way a sidebar is organised.

    Set up your Sangh

    Create the Sangh and the default khatas are seeded for you — સર્વ સાધારણ, દેવ દ્રવ્ય, જીવદયા, વૈયાવચ, આંગી, સંઘ પૂજન. Set the membership fee, the mun rate and the yearly cycle. Add trustees, admins and volunteers with precise permissions.

    Members and families

    Members with family hierarchy, membership IDs and yearly plans. Renew everyone who has lapsed in one click. Quick-add a member from any desk screen. Members log in to the app with a WhatsApp OTP.

    Events and the days in them

    Paryushan, Oli, any event from a reusable type. Per-day records with footfall or a fixed rate, daily schedules, gallery, and a notice board of pledges. Events move from upcoming to active to completed on their own.

    Collections, the Sangh way

    Chadhavo bids per item. Supan ni boli in mun with the rupee value beside it. Aangi booked day by day. Sangh Pujan pledged per person against the day's footfall. Every pledge becomes a ledger entry — pending, received or on hold.

    Money in, money out

    The credit desk takes cash, cheque or online against any outstanding entry — per family, in bulk. Cash a volunteer collects lands in their wallet and is settled to the Sangh with a record. Every rupee has a transaction, every transaction an audit trail.

    Know where you stand

    Pick any member and see everything the household owes across every khata. Print a trilingual slip with bank details. Households with dues, event comparisons year on year, expenses, activity log — PDF and Excel everywhere.

Three things the register could never do

Kept the way the Sangh keeps it.

Bids are called in mun. So the app takes them in mun.

Nothing is translated into accountant's language at the desk. Each kind of pledge is entered the way it is spoken, and the arithmetic happens beside it.

    Type the bid as called. The rupee value is worked out at the Sangh's own rate and saved with it.

    આંગીby the day, at that day's rate

    Pick the day; the rate is already set — ₹101 on an ordinary day, ₹201 on a big one.

  3. 3

    સંઘ પૂજનper person, times the footfall

    ₹5 a head against 1,250 present. If the count is corrected later, the pledge re-syncs itself.

A payment never changes a record in place. It moves through five stages and leaves one behind at each, so a treasurer can walk any rupee from the pledge to the log.
